About this program

Do your walks feel stressful because of reactivity?

Do you turn around when you see another dog outside? Do you walk late at night or early in the morning to avoid triggers? Do you feel you've tried everything yet nothing changes?

Reactivity is a common issue, and dog owners are given solutions that simply don't work. Medication from your vet doesn't teach calmness and clarity. Distracting your dog doesn't teach boundaries or focus. And hoping someday your dog will simply stop isn't going to happen. Every time your dog is reactive, it just reinforces the behavior.

Stopping reactivity requires understanding, skill, structure, and precise experience. At Leadership Based Dog Training, this is our specialty.

The challenge you're facing

Reactivity is a very common issue, and dog owners are given solutions that simply don't work. Medication from your vet doesn't teach calmness and clarity. Distraction treat training and positive reinforcement only doesn't teach boundaries, expectations or focus. And generic dog training advice doesn't address the core issues of reactive dogs. Stopping reactivity requires understanding, skill, structure, and precise experience.

What Actually Works

A structured approach that creates real control and clarity

1

Calm, Structured Walking

We teach your dog to walk without pulling, lunging, or reacting. When we establish this foundation using the right techniques and communication, everything begins to change.

2

Systematic Desensitization

We reintroduce your dog to triggers in a controlled, structured way. Through proper exposure and guided socialization, your dog learns to remain calm and neutral — real rehabilitation, not management.

3

Positive Reinforcement & Positive Experiences

Your dog will receive modern, effective training designed to give both you and your dog the results you deserve. We focus on positively reinforcing new choices, good decisions, and calm behavior — especially in the presence of triggers.

4

Daily Structure & Leadership

Multiple 10–15 minute daily training sessions reinforce stability and calm. You'll learn door manners, impulse control, place and crate training, boundary setting, and long line walking in nature.

Calm walks without reactivity from your dog is achievable — and I've helped countless owners get there.

The Difference in My Approach

I Will Never Tell You

  • That your dog is too reactive to change.
  • That you need to lower your expectations.
  • That it's too late to turn this around or that your dog needs medication.

I Will Show You How To

  • 1 Stop the reactivity so you can enjoy calm, confident walks.
  • 2 Reintroduce, refamiliarize, desensitize, and properly socialize your dog around other dogs — the right way.
  • 3 Build daily habits that create lasting change and a stronger bond with your dog.

The Transformation

  • You dread walks before they even start.
  • Your grip tightens on the leash.
  • Your eyes constantly scan for dogs, people or cars—ready for the next outburst.
  • Every bark feels embarrassing.
  • Every lunge feels out of control.
  • You walk late at night or early in the morning to avoid dogs.
  • You step outside feeling calm and confident.
  • Your dog walks beside you—focused, relaxed, and under control.
  • Triggers that once caused chaos are now just background noise.
  • You move through your neighborhood without fear, tension, or second-guessing yourself.
  • Walks become something you look forward to again—not something you dread.
  • You trust your dog.
  • Your dog trusts you.
